I’m 37 and I’ve been trying to get pregnant since I graduated from college. I’ve done everything possible and I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and they’re suspecting I probably have PCOS. I’ve done acupuncture. I’ve tried some herbs and supplements. I changed my nutrition lost weight. I’ve even done medicated cycles and an IUI. I have not yet tried IVF.
What do you think I should do next? So, that sounds like a heartbreaking case to me and I’m very sorry to hear that. If you were my sister, I would tell you the truth. I would ask you, do you really want a baby? Is that really really your dream? and if that’s the case, let me tell you the truth. You just haven’t done what it takes. You’ve tried acupuncture for three months. You’ve tried three bottles of herbs that your acupuncturist has recommended. You’ve tried some supplements that someone from the Internet has recommended for fertility. You say you’re eating healthy on a daily basis. You’ve gone to your fertility clinic and tried some clomid and two cycles of IUI and also you’re taking thyroid medicine and your health quite frankly, it is not ideal. Although, you say you’re feeling just fine on a daily basis.
So, here’s a secret guys, just fine is the enemy of your dreams. It destroys any reason for you to be great to live a life of purpose and possibility and dreams. So, let me get this right, if you don’t really want a baby that’s totally acceptable, it’s not everybody’s desire and that’s okay. But, if you really want to make this dream of bringing a new life into the world, go out and do it quite frankly, right! we’re talking about a real life here and this principle isn’t just applicable to fertility. It’s applicable to all of your dreams, whether it’s a dream job or a dream relationship or your dream body or your dream baby and dream family. it’s not unreasonable for you to have those dreams, you deserve it. It’s your first right many have done it before you and they can do it, if they can do it, you can do it too. So, get out, figure it out, it resourceful resourceful do what it takes. Do the things that give you the most leverage. If you, if you take one baby step a day, I’m not sure that it’s going to be enough to get you to the finish line. Keep your life map in front of you and know where you want to go and make sure that you can get there in time. Abandon your own ways that haven’t worked for you and find a new way.
Stop winging it another day. Hire coach who have led many to their dreams. It’s not about having resources, It’s about being resourceful and don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t get pregnant, not even a doctor. We hear this all the time that our patients return away by the by the fertility clinics, but with the right support and the right mindset, you will prove them wrong. We do it all the time here. Your journey is going to make you strong, it’s like you’re running a marathon. You know, for some it’s easy for others, it’s tough as nails. Some will never start because they can’t get past the bridge of fear, because our minds oftentimes, they stop us from really chasing our dreams and what counts at the end is that you get to the finish line.
