Conditions

We have experience helping women and couples with a wide range of fertility diagnoses. Our approach utilizes a customized plan for each woman or couple whether trying to conceive naturally or with the assistance of IUI or IVF.

Ready to start your fertility journey?

IUI/IVF Support

Preparing to undergo IUI or IVF is an expensive process financially, emotionally and physically. The ROAR Fertility Program clinical data shows over 90% success for couples who combine the ROAR program with the assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments offered by their IVF clinic. We have identified that this works because we teach couples how to improve the quality of their eggs, sperm and the uterine environment by coaching them through proper diet and lifestyle choices and assisting them in identifying the appropriate supplements and herbs to use in the months leading up to their ART procedure.

Poor Responder to Fertility Medications

For women who have been through a medicated cycle or n ART procedure who didn't get the response from the medications that was expected, the ROAR program can help to support function of the detoxification, endocrine and reproductive systems to improve response to fertility medications.

Amenorrhea

An absence of menstruation may result from a number of different causes such as over-exercise, malnutrition, hormonal imbalances, dysfunction of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, or PCOS. The ROAR Fertility program combination of coaching in the areas of nutrition, appropriate exercise, supplementation and herbal recommendations can help clients resume and regulate their menstrual cycle.

Diminished Ovarian Reserve

It is understood that all of the eggs a woman will have for her reproductive year are already present at birth. As women age, the number of eggs that will result in a viable pregnancy naturally declines. If that decline occurs earlier than expected, a woman may be diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve or pre-mature ovarian failure. It is usually diagnosed by lab tests including AMH and FSH as well as imaging to measure the antral follicle count. In these cases, the ROAR approach focuses on helping clients make choices that may improve the quality of the eggs they have remaining to increase their chances of a successful pregnancy.

High FSH

High FSH, follicle-stimulating hormone, usually indicates that the ovary, or the follicles in the ovary, are not responding to the stimulating hormone released from the pituitary gland as part of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis. FSH naturally fluctuates each cycle but is recommended to be in the range of 5-11 to be considered normal-fair, where higher FSH readings are generally correlated with lower fertility rates and even a pre-menopausal diagnosis for some. In these cases, we at ROAR focus our coaching on helping women learn to make diet and lifestyle choices to support egg quality as well as assist in selection of supplements and herbs that may support their reproductive health.

Low AMH

Antimullerian hormone is used to assess the reserve of dormant follicles a woman may have remaining in her ovaries. As a marker produced by the follicles, low AMH may indicate poor ovarian reserve. As in cases of diminished ovarian reserve, we coach our clients through the ROAR program to make choices in nutrition, exercise, supplements and herbs that may help improve egg quality to improve their chances of conception.

Endometriosis

An overgrowth of endometrial tissue, the tissue that lines the uterus, can challenge fertility by interfering with implantation or by causing hormone imbalance. In some cases, endometriosis causes painful and/or heavy periods with clots while in other cases, endometriosis is silent and only found during the fertility evaluation. By helping clients make healthy choices to support blood circulation, detoxification systems and healthy hormone balance we can help clients restore their uterine health.

Irregular Cycles

Menstrual cycles that do not arrive in a regular and timely fashion cause increased difficulty and expense in monitoring ovulation and pregnancy. There can be many causes for irregular periods including hormone imbalance, PCOS or ovulation dysfunction. A combined approach offered through ROAR that includes nutrition coaching, appropriate exercise, supplementation and herbal recommendations, can help clients regulate their menstrual cycle and identify ovulation so conception can become possible.

Luteal Phase Defect

The luteal phase of the menstrual cycle is the time period between ovulation and the start of the menstrual period. Ideally this phase of the cycle is between 10-14 days and when it falls outside normal parameters, it often results in difficulty conceiving. The ROAR approach is able to help clients improve their luteal phase by helping them make choices to support the endocrine system and healthy hormone balance.

Ovarian or Uterine Cysts

Cysts in the reproductive organs may interfere with implantation or hormone balance. The ROAR program helps clients learn to address their blood circulation through nutrition and exercise coaching while helping to support optimal endocrine system function with nutritional and herbal supplement recommendations.

PCOS

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is one of the leading causes of infertility. PCOS involves both the reproductive system and metabolic system and best addressed using a whole systems perspective, such as that offered by the ROAR Fertility program to support all the systems involved and improve blood circulation to the reproductive organs. Due to the whole systems approach employed by ROAR, the success rate of natural conception for our clients with PCOS is over 60%.

Recurrent Miscarriage

Recurrent miscarriage is one of the leading causes of infertility and causes much heartbreak. Pregnancy loss can be a result of poor egg quality, poor sperm quality or it may signify a problem in the uterus or reproductive organs. Regardless of the cause, the ROAR method can help women and men support the quality of their reproductive health and increase their chances of carrying a pregnancy to term. Over 60% of our ROAR clients who previous suffered with recurrent miscarriage have healthy babies after completing the ROAR Fertility Reset Program.

Hormone Imbalance

Hormone imbalance is often discovered to be a result of lifestyle and dietary factors. By identifying the affected systems and improving these areas, along with evaluating the need for supplements or herbs, we find that our ROAR clients' hormones naturally come into better balance to support better fertility and healthy pregnancy.

Thyroid Dysfunction

Dysfunction of the thyroid gland and thyroid hormones is a large contributor to infertility. Through the ROAR Fertility Program, we can help women and couples learn to support the nutritional needs of their thyroid function to support the best possible function and increase their chances of conceiving and carrying to term.

Fibroids

Fibroids are growths in the uterus that may interfere with fertility due their physical location or their effects on the quality of the lining or hormone balance. Some women with uterine fibroids experience painful and/or heavy periods, clots, and some fibroids even grow to the size of full-term babies. In working with women experiencing fibroids, we help guide her to make better choices for her nutrition, lifestyle and may recommend supplements and/or herbs to support the uterus, blood circulation and hormone balance.

Unexplained Infertility

When the cause of infertility cannot be identified via blood testing and imaging, it can be hard for women and couples to know the next best steps. The perspective that is offered by the ROAR Fertility methods can sometimes shed light where there has not yet been answers to help couples get onto the right path to support their fertility health and improve their chances of a healthy pregnancy.

Advanced Age

Age can be a difficult factor to asses in the fertility journey. Depending on a woman's overall health and menstrual history, we prefer to evaluate the entire picture of her fertility health rather than focus on age alone, then we focus our coaching on steps to support the quality of eggs, the uterine environment and the endocrine system to improve the chances of conception.

Male Factor Infertility

There are several factors evaluated in the male half of the fertility puzzle. Semen analysis will reveal if there are active and viable sperm being produced in the testes, and assess the count, motility (ability to move in the right direction), and morphology (shape of the sperm head and tail). Male hormone levels can also be tested to search for a contributing factor. When male factor is present for a couple, we recommend a joint ROAR Fertility program to ensure the best success possible. When both partners are healthier, babies are healthier.
