Ginger Hansen holds a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences, a Master’s in Oriental Medicine and is a board-certified and licensed EAMP (East Asian Medicine Practitioner). She’s a pain and gut heath expert, a whole foods nutritionist and a certified Master level Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner with over a decade of hands-on clinical experience transforming
Ginger’s professional journey was inspired by her own and her mother’s health struggles. As a young boat refugee growing up in Switzerland in a financially struggling and health illiterate family, Ginger moved to the US at age 19 and helplessly watched her mother fall ill with diabetes, high blood pressure and emotional turmoil within 5 years of living in the US, resulting in two strokes and lasting health impact.
Ginger had her own share of debilitating health problems with obesity, chronic headaches, severe chronic fatigue, adrenal exhaustion, ADHD, seasonal and environmental allergies, gut issues, brain fog and depression. When she hit rock bottom and her doctor once again recommended increasing the dosage of her prescription meds, she had an existential break down and knew that the time had come for her to take her health and destiny into her own hands and make some important life changes forever.
Ginger embarked on an exploratory health journey of detoxing, fasting, nutritional experiments and supplementation and she experienced a miracle not only in her health, but also in her emotional well-being. Her experimental success gave birth to her soul-deep desire to spread natural medicine to the world and it changed her career trajectory from law school to holistic health. She went back to school to earn a second Bachelor’s Degree; this time in Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine. She went on to get nationally board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed to practice. Ginger completed 3 years of clinical practice at 2 university clinics, and after graduation entered internships under award-winning practitioners in her field, including Robert Doane, the medical director of Modern Acupuncture and founder of the largest clinic for Chinese Medicine in the United States. She also studies directly under Robert’s teacher, Jimmy Chang, who’s an internationally recognized teacher of Chinese Herbal Medicine and the master behind Pulsynergy pulse diagnosis and Evergreen Herbal Collection Formulas. After successfully completing over 5000 hours of post graduate clinicals under her mentors and leading dozens of nutrition workshops, she eventually started her own successful pain clinic in Seattle, WA, which was later voted Best Of 425 by 425 Magazine in 2019 and 2020.
During her years in practice, she applied and further developed the effective methods taught and practiced by her mentors with hundreds of hours of continued education, seminars, certifications, self-learning, and integrating her existing methods with Whole Foods nutrition, lifestyle and transformational health coaching. Her commitment for continued self-development and life mastery led her to discover powerful methods to breaking limiting beliefs and self-sabotage. She found that the patients who opted to work with her BEYOND just symptoms got lasting break through results. They were able to not only address their health conditions and symptoms, but they were able to transform their habit patterns and create lasting transformation in their careers, finances, relationships, happiness and beyond. Today, Ginger is committed to change her patient’s health, fitness and life trajectory by helping them become their own CEO of their health and lives.
In her free time, Ginger is a relentless reader on the topics of health, nutrition and personal development; she keeps fit with pilates, running, cycling and paddle boarding, loves boating, music, travel adventures and exploring new health recipes and healthy restaurants in Austin, where she resides with her husband, Ben, at their house nicknamed Health Oasis.
Ginger has dedicated her life mission to empower men and women to become the healthiest and most empowered version of themselves, absent from chronic illness, life long medication and heart break so they can live the life they came here for.
Chris Volesky
Chris Volesky is a board-certified and licensed practitioner of Chinese Medicine, a chronic pain, fibromyalgia and autoimmune expert and an internationally renowned herbal medicine teacher with over 12 years of clinical experience.
His career journey into holistic health was in a large way inspired by his own health challenges. He had spent years combating chronic pain, fatigue, and headaches and wasn’t getting any effective long-term solutions from the conventional medical system. His regular use of pain medicines eventually lead to an enlarged liver and several bouts of pancreatitis. His own health problems became a driving force for him to find long term solutions and eventually led him down the path of a career in helping others overcome their health issues.
Early on in his career, Chris worked in a large hospital system in North Carolina as part of an integrative medical team alongside medical doctors, osteopaths, counselors and other therapists. One of the major problems many of the NC clinics were having is that the prevalence of fibromyalgia was very great and many of the doctors were simply running out of ways to treat their patients. They would typically try different drugs and over time the patients would habituate to the drugs or the side effects would be worse than the relief the drug actually gave. Many of these patients wound up taking 10-15 different medications every day as their symptoms progressively worsened year after year.
At one point, the medical director of the clinic started referring her fibromyalgia patients to see Chris. They were getting excellent results utilizing natural approaches so the medical director asked Chris to design a program specifically for helping people with fibromyalgia. Certainly, this was a great honor, but also a huge responsibility. Chris began combing through all the research he could find. He spoke with the team of doctors, osteopaths, neurologists, rheumatologists and even some other fibromyalgia specialists. With their help, he put together a fibromyalgia program and the integrative team began treating patients with this method.
After months of success, doctors from numerous other practices in the network began referring their fibromyalgia patients to Chris’ integrative team. The results were amazing! At one point, they started using an impact questionnaire to gain objective data on the program and they found that their program was getting more than double the pain relief compared to standard drug therapy. What was even more exciting is that the pain relief was lasting even after the treatment stopped!
Years later, Chris met some doctors who also specialized in fibromyalgia and they introduced him to a famous physician from Chengdu, China who further aided in putting together an even more comprehensive method of treating his patients. This combination of doctors greatly increased his own knowledge of helping his patients and at one point he was asked to start teaching this method to other doctors and medical practitioner throughout the country. The safety and efficacy of this approach became so widespread, that he was asked to teach the seminar internationally and virtually and it is now being utilized in the US and numerous other countries.
Chris has joined Ginger in a quest to mainstream solutions for chronic debilitating health diagnoses for which there is no effective western long-term solution. Together, they developed a powerful four-tiered approach that addresses not only the health of the whole body but also combines it with transformational nutrition and lifestyle coaching to empower men and women to step into their full potential and create the healthy mind and body they deserve for life.
